Oasis Live 2027 tour: All we know with '12 nights at the Etihad' set for next summer

Is the great wait nearly over? Here's everything the MEN has heard so far on Oasis' live return in a spectacular summer 2027 Is the great wait nearly over? Here's everything the MEN has heard so far on Oasis' live return in a spectacular summer 2027 Oasis are planning a spectacular 12-night residency at the ground of Liam and Noel Gallagher's beloved Manchester City in the summer as part of a huge new tour set to be announced within weeks, the MEN understands. It's exactly a year since the huge Oasis Live '25 comeback tour kicked off with a memorable opening night in Cardiff. Now, the Etihad Stadium is gearing up to stage an epic 2027 homecoming return for Oasis, following their record-breaking reunion tour of 2025, according to a number of sources who have spoken to the MEN. Other dates are set to be announced, with rumours flying there will be a return to Knebworth, while bookies are already saying it's odds on for the band to play Glastonbury next year. Click here for the latest on Manchester's food & drink scene, gigs and more in our CityLife newsletter Manchester City's Etihad Stadium saw the return of live music this summer after a three year absence while works to expand the North Stand were completed. It proved to be an epic setting for two major artists this summer, with The Weeknd and then Take That playing to tens of thousands of fans this June and July. Now, bosses are thought to be gearing up for an even bigger 2027 with the return of Oasis to play on the hallowed turf of the Blues. Man City's fixture list for 26/27 sees their last home game at the Etihad Stadium falling on Saturday May 23 against Aston Villa, while the last day of the Premier League season is on Sunday May 30, when City are away to Sunderland. The MEN has been told by a number of sources close to the club and promoters that 12 nights could be announced later this summer. It will spark one almighty scramble for fans to try and get tickets as soon as the news officially drops. A music industry insider told the MEN: "It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It's just massive for Manchester and for the local economy. "They could even add more dates to that as well, there's talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth." The MEN has also been told by a separate source that a luxury city centre hotel has been entirely booked out from the end of May through June for the arrival of the band and their touring entourage. It appears to back up the suggestion of dates being booked across May and June for the tour. Also this past week, Manchester's Parklife festival announced a major change to its dates for 2027. It is traditionally held across a weekend in June but next year they will stage it in July for the first time, on the dates of July 10 and 11. It sparked feverish speculation among Oasis fans on social media that Parklife moving to July clears June for an anticipated big run of shows from Oasis in the city. However the MEN understands that Heaton Park is not being considered as a location for the new Oasis tour. Bookies have this week further fuelled speculation about the band's return, with Betway offering odds of 2/1 on Oasis headlining Glastonbury in 2027 as part of an anticipated world tour. When Liam and Noel Gallagher first announced their epic reunion back in August 2024, they announced that "the guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned, the great wait is over". Announcing the dates for Oasis Live '25 set into motion one of the biggest tour sales in history as fans desperately clamoured for tickets. This weekend marks the one-year anniversary of Oasis' huge return to the live scene. On Friday, July 4, 2025 they played a spinetingling opening night of their world tour at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, before the show then rolled home to Manchester for the mother of all homecomings at Heaton Park. A new film documenting their return will be released by Disney+ with a full cinema release in the Autumn, fuelling anticipation and demand for more live events from the band after that epic comeback tour. On Friday morning, Liam added further fuel to the fire when joikly replying to fans with football banter around the England v Mexico game. He replied to a fan: "You say that now but soon as we announce the gig nxt wk I mean nxt year I mean happy Christmas you’ll be running around like headless chickens trying to get a ticket so stop acting tuff." It led many fans to believe an announcement could be incoming from as soon as next week. Rumours have been circulating for a while now that the new tour will be announced in September - tying in neatly with the film premiere on September 11. Some fans are saying it could even be announced in the end credits of the movie. We have approached Oasis' PR team and the Etihad Stadium, but there has been no comment on the ongoing speculation.
The story has drawn attention across the business landscape, with experts pointing to its immediate implications for policy, markets, and public confidence.
Beyond the headline update, analysts are closely watching how institutions and local stakeholders respond over the next week as timelines, priorities, and accountability measures become clearer.
For readers, this development is part of a broader shift that has been unfolding over recent months, and the next round of announcements will likely define its long-term impact.
