Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding LIVE: Taylor 'arrives' at Madison Square Gardens with fleet of SUVs

Taylor Swift is set to marry Travis Kelce in one of the biggest showbiz weddings the world has ever seen. The pair - who met in 2023 - are set to say 'I do' in New York in front of thousands of guests The NYPD has announced the following street closures and parking restrictions near Madison Square Garden: These streets will be closed to vehicles starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3: 7th Avenue between 30th and 34th streets West 33rd Street between 6th and 7th avenues West 32nd Street between 6th and 7th avenues West 31st Street between 6th and 8th avenues These streets will be closed to pedestrians starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3: West side of 7th Avenue between 30th and 34th streets West 33rd Street between 7th and 8th avenues There will be managed access on these streets starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3: East side of 8th Avenue between 30th and 34th streets West 33rd Street between 6th and 7th avenues West 32nd Street between 6th and 7th avenues West 31st Street between 6th and 7th avenues There will be no parking allowed on West 33rd Street between 6th and 7th avenues starting at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 2. Taylor Swift's ex Harry Styles - who she dated from late 2012 until early 2013 when she was 22 and he was 18, was reportedly invited to the big day, but won't be attending as he's on tour. Sources told Variety that as he is currently on his Together Together tour he won't be able to make it, but his fiancee Zoe Kravitz who is close with Swift, will still be in attendance. Zoe has spoken about her close relationship in the past after they became close in London during the pandemic. She revealed on a talk show that she - and her mother Lisa Bonet - stayed at the singer's house during the Los Angeles fires and that her mother's pet snake ended up damaging some of Taylor's antique cupboards after escaping in her home. Apparently Donna Kelce, the mother of the Superbowl star who is set to get hitched this Friday, is being kept in the dark about a lot of the plans - and she prefers it that way. A source told the Daily Mail: "“They actually haven’t told Donna very much, she is just going with the flow. They’re letting her know where she needs to be and when she needs to be there. They have a driver for her." They added that this was routine for all their nearest and dearest: "That’s how it is with everybody, even the people really close to them. When they get to where they need to be, they’re told where they’re going next." They added that information has been shared on a 'need to know' basis among the guests: "So she doesn’t really know a lot about the plans, because she hasn’t been told. I think that’s their way of making sure that things aren’t leaked. Everyone is on a ‘need to know’ basis. "I think she likes it that way. It’s not a stress. Travis told her what type of clothes she’d need and basically everything is going to be easy for her. She’s very excited to experience it as it happens, with some mystery along the way." We might be breathlessly watching brown boxes trundle into an arena - but reports are coming out that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are already married! The pair are reported to have legally taken their vows and become husband and wife while we were all looking in the other direction (at boxes of Tropicana entering the tradesman's entrance of an entertainment complex). While they are still hosting 1,000 guests and a rehearsal dinner for 100, an even smaller group were there to see them exchange their vows privately, says Page Six. Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce will cost around the same as Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's big-budget Venice extravaganza last summer. That's according to 'what's it worth' experts Forbes, who have totted up what might have been spent to throw a 1,000-guest party in one of the biggest entertainment venues on earth (and close the streets around it) and came to the figure of upwards of $20million, or £15million. But will the wedding even be there? There's still an outside chance there will be a last-minute switcheroo. Watch this space! Here's an illustration of just how quickly the rumour mill is spinning. Fans spotted a large pile of boxes containing Bon Jovi merchandise being delivered to Madison Square Garden, where the Tay-Trav wedding is reportedly being held. What does it mean? Fans swiftly attempted to join the dots. Bon Jovi and Swift paired up to sing Living on a Prayer with Prince William at Kensington Palace in 2013. Would they be reprising the double act? Would Bon Jovi T-shirts be fired into the crowd as they did so? Was William making an appearance too? Erm, no. Bon Jovi's Forever Tour begins at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. Everyone pushing the theory that Madison Square Garden is an almighty decoy and that the wedding is actually being held somewhere far more quaint may need to think again - because Mama Kelce has just touched down. Travis' mum Donna Kelce arrived in New York today just hours before what is thought to be the happy couple's rehearsal dinner and said nothing when quizzed by reporters. We are still expecting some trickery from 'SURPRISE!' maestro Taylor, but I can't help feeling flying the mother of the groom to the wrong city isn't it... As estimated 1,100 people are expected to attend Taylor and Travis' celebrations, which take place on the Fourth of July weekend celebration in America. The singer, who we know loves a big party and also loves her fans (naturally), could involve them in some way. Crews have been seen unloading various object including a grand piano, a large carpet and branches of a tree in New York this week. But another theory goes that the whole fixation of Madison Square Garden is a massive decoy and that the real wedding is taking shape elsewhere far from the photographers. Who's in town for the wedding? Some of what you might call the usual suspects are circling the New York area. First up, Ed Sheeran, who posed for a picture in Malta (not that one) a town north of Manhattan. Tay and Ed go way back. She first contacted him in 2012 and he later opened for her on The Red Tour and they've been close ever since. He was dining with another Swift favourite, the US singer Aaron Dessner. Danielle Hartwyk, owner of Buona Sera on the Lake (which looks lovely) posted a picture writing: "We had a surprise visit from Ed Sheeran and Aaron Dessner tonight at the restaurant! Thank you for being so generous with your time and your kindness to our guests and our staff! It really was the highlight of our night!" A huge rehearsal dinner for around 100 guests will be held in at Madison Square Garden from 6pm tonight, it has been claimed. Taylor and Travis are thought to have booked the small-ish Infosys Theater (romantic name!) beneath the main arena for the run-through. Arriving guests will be driven into a tent - think aircraft hangar more than Bake Off - with a curtain drawn to stop photographers capturing arrivees. Who's going? Well, Sabrina Carpenter and Graham Norton are in town, so they are both contenders. But the incredibly tight security around the event means we might not know... for now. In case you have pause to think the mega-money inevitably being spent on Taylor Swift's wedding could have benefited good causes instead, well, she's already a step ahead of you. An announcement released on behalf of the singer and her American Football star husband to be has revealed they are splashing a huge amount of money on charity. It read: "This week, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donated $26 million to charities across the United States." That's just shy of £20million. The 20 charities include nine food banks, three children’s hospitals, an animal cruelty organisation and seven educational programmes. They include the Rhode Island Community Food Bank (she lives there) and the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City (he plays there). In what would be a dream gig for pretty much any designer, there has been a lot of talk about the dress Taylor will wear to walk down the aisle. Discussing who might design the main dress, biographer Anna Pointer explains: "Stella McCartney is one name that's come up a lot. We know Taylor loves Stella. And she is close friends with her dad, Sir Paul. There's so many designers that have been touted for this. All the big designers had to submit their designs and sketches to Taylor and her stylist. "The creative director at Christian Dior is Jonathan Anderson. He's in the running to be the dress, the main dress that she wears for when she actually says her vows. She also loves Ralph Lauren, and obviously she wore a Ralph Lauren dress when she got engaged." Whoever designs it, it's no doubt it will be a spectacle. "I think there could be five or six dresses and of course whatever she wears for the rehearsal dinner also will be pretty showstopping," she says. Most of us don't have a whole police force supporting our wedding, but everyone's involved in Taylor's big day. At a press conference on Wednesday, mayor Zohran Mamdani said in response to a question about the wedding: “We are fully prepared, there isn’t anything to share beyond that.” In a post on social media giving advice about dealing with the heatwave in the city, Mamdani told them to stay cool, “especially if you’re (hypothetically) having your wedding at MSG this weekend”. New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch also spoke about the event on Wednesday, saying: “I would be remiss not to mention an event that we are tracking at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. The NYPD will, of course, have a detail in place, but I am not going to go into more specifics on that at this time.” The wedding will reportedly be a black-tie affair with women expected to wear floor-length gowns while men will wear a tuxedo with a jacket, black bow tie and matching satin striped trousers. Taylor is expected to wear a traditional white dress - and maybe multiple outfits. " We know that she loves Elie Saab and Elie Saab designed a couple of her sort of bridal style dresses for the Eras Tour, and they were really feminine, lots of pretty detail," biographer Anna Pointer tells us. "We can expect a soft romantic vibe but nothing too over the top. Because she's going to go for lots of dresses I think there'll be different styles. So there'll probably be something more sleek and elegant for an evening part of the celebrations." The pair have reportedly invited 1,000 guests to their wedding. Singer Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters – Este, Danielle and Alana, and supermodel Gigi Hadid are expected to be bridesmaids. Long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff is also expected to attend alongside singers Ed Sheeran and Suki Waterhouse, as well as several of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates. The Knicks’ starting five, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns have also reportedly been invited, following their historic championship victory a few weeks ago. Trees are being loaded into venue now, with their little leaves poking up above the wooden boxes (and the closest any of us will probably be getting to seeing inside for now!) New pictures show tall trees being taken inside, fitting perfectly with the rumoured country garden / Garden of Eden theme that's being talked about. It also sweetly matches the theme of the couple's engagement pictures, taken in a rose garden!
The story has drawn attention across the crime landscape, with experts pointing to its immediate implications for policy, markets, and public confidence.
Beyond the headline update, analysts are closely watching how institutions and local stakeholders respond over the next week as timelines, priorities, and accountability measures become clearer.
For readers, this development is part of a broader shift that has been unfolding over recent months, and the next round of announcements will likely define its long-term impact.
